We are pleased to name MTMBrainerd Insurance as our Winter 2012 Featured Member. Long a fixture in Billerica Center, Brainerd Insurance became MTMBrainerd in 2009. They are the second location for MTM Insurance Associates, LLC of North Andover.

Scott Leavitt - Branch Manager at MTMBrainerd is the local face of the agency.
Scott earned a BA degree from the University of Hartford in 1981 and is a Certified Insurance counselor and Licensed Insurance Advisor. He has enjoyed a long career in the insurance industry which included managing his family insurance agency for over 28 years.
Brett Beaurivage - Account Executive at MTM Barinerd graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2008 with a BS degree in Risk Management and insurance from the School of Business. During his time at UConn he was President of the Risk Management and Insurance Society. He has been an independent insurance agent for over four years and has attained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Paul MacDonald
Paul graduated from Boston College with a degree in business. He has earned the prestigious insurance designations of "Certified Insurance Counselor" and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter. With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Paul's specialty is commercial insurance. His extensive product knowledge, coupled with his exceptional relationship skills make him an invaluable resource to our commercial clients.
Cindy Traverso
Cindy graduated from Boston College with a Liberal Arts Degree. She is a licensed insurance advisor and has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.
As a life long resident of No. Andover, Cindy has strong ties to the community. Cindy's skills lie in the management, administration and marketing areas. She specializes in personal insurance.
Cindy has been chosen to serve on the "agents council" of several large insurance companies and has also served on the boards of various non profit and professional business organizations. She is a past president of Business Networkers International (BNI) and served eight years as president of a $2+million revenue insurance agency prior to founding MTM Insurance.
Laurie Mancinelli
Laurie graduated from Merrimack College with a degree in Business. She has earned the prestigious insurance designation of "Certified Insurance Counselor". Laurie holds two securities licenses; series 6 and series 63, which allow her to offer our clients financial products such as mutual funds, annuities, life insurance, disability insurance and long term care insurance.
Laurie has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. She is a resident of Southern New Hampshire and specializes in commercial insurance and financial services. She has been a board member of various charitable organizations and is a past president of Business Networkers International (BNI). Prior to founding MTM, Laurie served as Chief Financial Officer for a $2+ million revenue insurance agency.
MTM and the Community
MTMBrainerd and their predecessor Brainerd Insurance are well known in the local community and have been members of the Billerica Community Alliance as well as the Billerica Plan and Billerica Chamber of Commerce.
As part of their commitment to the community, MTMBrainerd established a scholarship to help the students of Billerica achieve their goal of a college education. The scholarship is dedicated to Gordon S Brainerd, whose family owned and operated Brainerd Insurance in Billerica for over 60 years. Gordon and his family are still actively involved in supporting the Billerica Community . The three owners of MTMBrainerd Inc., Paul MacDonald, Cindy Traverso and Laurie Mancinelli feel this is a fitting tribute to their dedication and hard work.
MTMInsurance also supports a number of Merrimack Valley charities and organizations. Laurie Mancinelli is a member of the Asian Cultural Center and a past president of Business Networkers International (BNI). Paul MacDonald sits on the Lazarus House Board as well as the board for Central Catholic High School, both in Lawrence. Cindy Traverso is a past member of the Lawrence YWCA board and a past member of the North Andover scholarship committee as well as a past president of Business Networkers International (BNI).

Community Involvement
Owner Jim Marshall and his wife Dawn are always involved in giving back to the community, supporting youth sports, belonging to Billerica Community Alliance, Billerica Rotary, Big Sister, Advisory Community for the Shawsheen Tech, scholarship programs, and a Donate-to Educate program.
One of their big events is the annual Make-A-Wish carwash that is held in conjunction with the Billerica Rotary and raises funds for scholarships.
Marshalls also supports our troops throughout the year with a package mailing adopt-a-soldier program. The also work with the local VFW.
