Our Mission

The mission of the Business Assistance Task Force (BATF) is to facilitate access to appropriate resources for existing businesses in Billerica.

The Task Force identified several key components to accomplish this task:

  1. The Resource Links provide ongoing tools that allow businesses, existing or start up, to locate the resources nececssary to solve their specific challenges. The intent is to update these links at least annually, more frequently as changes warrant.
  2. For those businesses who feel that they can be a resource to other businesses in the Billerica community, we have created the Resource Identification Form. If your business/entity falls into any of the curently identified resource areas:
    • capital funding
    • labor and training
    • growth and development
    • government constituent services
    • local business support
    • local government
    • marketing resources
    • organizations
    • other government resources
    • tax incentive programs
    Please complete this form and return to the Alliance office. A business may find that it falls under more than one category. Please identify all categories that are appropriate. The Task Force reserves the right to make final determination as to the categories under which a business or other entity may be listed If a business/entity identifies a resource not covered, it is encouraged to contact the Task Force for review and addition to this site.
  3. To help with the Task Force's efforts in clearly identifying additional areas of concern that the business community has that need to be addressed, a Local Business Survey has been created. The form is available from the Alliance office as well as at the Town Clerk's office and the Town Assessor's office at Town hall. This is an important tool that helps the Task force stay current on the needs of the business community it serves. 
  4. And for the business who has difficulty in identifying the resource(s) that fit their needs, we have designed the Business Support Request Form. The business in question would complete the form and send it to the BATF committee who would review it and call the business to setup a face to face meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to assist the business in identifying the resources and to facilitate access. 

IT IS ALWAYS THE GOAL OF THE TASK FORCE AND THE ALLIANCE TO ASSIST BUSINESSES WHEREVER AND WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
