Job Search Training Program
Professional employment program for job seekers age 55 and older.
Billerica: The Billerica Council on Aging (COA), in an effort to meet the needs of seniors, is offering a Wisdom Works workshop. This program helps adults 55+ learn the essential skills required for seeking employment in today’s competitive marketplace.
The program was developed as part of a statewide initiative through the Executive Office of Elder Affairs in conjunction with Massachusetts Council on Aging. Modules include: Skills Assessment, Resume/Cover Letter, Job Search Strategies, and Social Networking tools, such as Linked In, Monster, etc.
The workshops are facilitated by Human Resources professionals currently working in a variety of companies including, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Nokia. These professionals have volunteered their time and expertise to facilitate the workshops.
All sessions will be held at the Billerica Senior Center, 25 Concord Road. There is a registration fee of $10.00. The workshop will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the following Wednesday evenings:
September 10th, 17th, 24th & October 1st
